Jua Ngoma of Yamoya was born on February 25th, 2003, the daughter of Captain James of Bo Kama and Mswati’s Ngoma. In her pedigree there are many known ancestors that belong to the famous Glenaholm Ridgeback Lines, by experts considered the original Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The pureblood Glenaholm breeding lines can be traced back to 1949.

With a shoulder height of 64 cm, she is perfectly within the parameters set out in the criteria for the Rhodesian Ridgeback.

At a very early age (nine months) her physical  appearance was judged ‘excellent’ and Jua earned the title “Youth Winner 2003” at the prestigious annual Winnershow in Amsterdam. The judges thought Jua a very welcome asset to the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed, a comment that was earned several times at subsequent shows.

Jua’s character can be described as typical for the Rhodesian Ridgeback; quiet in the house, socially adept towards other dogs, reservedly friendly but protective around strangers, excellent with children, and overall just a tad arrogant.

Apart from this mental stability, Jua is also put together well physically. The manadatory X-ray examination and the realated Norberg values indicated that Jua is not predisposed to hip displacement disease.

Jua has proven her expertise as an excellent mother several times over. She has given birth to two litters with a 16 puppy total and did a wonderful job raising them in their first eight weeks, which are socially crucial.
